Firmter
Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Firmter mobile application ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use it. Firmter is a read-only directory that lets you browse and search company information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.
1. Information We Collect
Firmter does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the App.
We do not collect, store, or share personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.
The App does the following:
- Company data requests: The App sends requests to our backend API to retrieve and display publicly available company directory information (such as industry, organization type, size, country, and city). This data is about companies, not about you.
- Search and filter input: Any search terms or filters you enter are used only to query company listings and are not linked to your identity or stored on your device after use.
- Local cache: The App temporarily caches company listings on your device to improve performance and reduce network usage. This cache contains company data only and can be cleared by closing the App or clearing the App's storage.
2. Automatically Collected Information
When the App communicates with our servers, standard technical information may be processed to deliver the service, including your device's IP address and basic request metadata. This is inherent to how internet-connected apps work and is used solely to fulfill your requests and maintain security. We do not use this information to identify or track you across other apps or websites.
3. How We Use Information
Any information processed is used only to:
- Display and search company directory listings.
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality.
- Protect the security and integrity of our service.
We do not sell, rent, or trade any information, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing.
4. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following service providers:
- Expo / EAS (Expo Application Services): Used to build, distribute, and deliver over-the-air updates for the App. See Expo's privacy policy at expo.dev/privacy.
- Google Play: Distribution of the App is handled by the Google Play Store, which is governed by Google's own privacy policy.
We do not integrate third-party advertising networks or analytics SDKs that track you.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Because the App does not maintain user accounts or store personal data on our servers, there is no personal profile to delete. Any locally cached company data is automatically managed by the App and can be removed at any time by clearing the App's storage from your device settings or by uninstalling the App.
If you believe any data relating to you has been processed and you would like it reviewed or removed, please contact us using the details below.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information transmitted between the App and our servers, including the use of encrypted (HTTPS) connections where applicable. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws (such as the GDPR or CCPA), including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. Since the App does not collect personal data, these rights will generally not apply, but you may contact us with any questions or requests.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be communicated through the App or the Google Play listing. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
